Hi there,

On the phone again this morning. Looks like we are now just waiting on insurance to run it. Now that brings me to the next portion.

Copay......We have never had a large copay on Pulmozyme. Maybe only $30.00 every three months. My question is now how to keep that. I know we have never qualified for any, any kind of assistance programs because of my hubands income. Do you think it was a Pulmozyme Manuifacture program? I'm on the phone now doing my detective work.

I wish I would of kept notes on this, but I was such a walking zombie the first couple months. Thanks for any tips!!

Thanks guys!! CF MOMS KNOW THEIR STUFF!! I TOTALLY AGREE ON THE CLASS THING, HAD NO IDEA THE BATTLES WE WOULD FACE. SOmetimes, I think I'm just not smart enough to be his mommy Guess that's when you have to fake it and put on that poker face

Yea! We were briefly eligible for the Tobi program, but no longer are due to income. We DO have a $1,000 out of pocket maximum for prescriptions and then "only" have to pay a $15 or $30 copay per med. So we flex that an more out of our pay each year.

Was a bit of a shock the first time I had to cough up $565 for a med when DS was a baby, but now I find it entertaining to freak out the pharmacy students who work at our pharmacy -- they get all flustered and apologetic.

As for a class -- I would like to suggest "How to identify normal poop"

Another class could be "how to fatten up your CF child without fattening up yourself and your family!"

We use Pulmozyme monthly and pay $30 for it. We use Pulmozyme's Program. there are no income requirements. http://www.pulmozyme.com/insurance/copay-card.jsp. It is like an insurance card and they keep the number on file and run it as a copay :)
