made me remember an article I'd read last May about genetic chimerism--how we may not be as strictly a combination of our two biological parents' genetics.

There are people with individual organs that have different genetics than the rest of their bodies. And we may absorb and retain others' DNA through growing in our mother's uterus, unprotected sex and pregnancy. Check out this article.
