Forgot to add that the CFF recommends using sterilization techniques either boiling for 10 minutes OR using sterilizer that heats above 160 degrees for thirty minutes...... IQ and the GERM GUARDIAN do that!
"The Germ Guardian works without harsh chemicals by utilizing a natural, safe, special dry heat method that reaches a temperature of 162 degrees to eliminate 99.9% of germs in 30 minutes including those that cause Flu, Colds, Ear Ache, Diarrhea and RSV. Easy to use by simply pressing a button. Automatic safety shut off when sanitizing is completed. Works great on bottles, pacifiers, toys and won't shrink or fade colorful fabrics or melt plastic or rubber items. 7 1/2"L x 8 1/4"W x 8"H. Weighs 4 lbs. Two-year manufacturer's warrant"

New info by me below***
As for the not putting anything in wet -- I wash and rinse in pretty warm water, then put into a plastic bowl with a lid and paper towels.... I shake it up and down for a few seconds... everything is pretty well dry when I put them into the germ guardian -- the heat and air blowing around in there gets things very dry long before the 30 minutes is up.... close enough for me !
