Getting everything dry

Sarah,

No, you do not have to have a script for the syringes. We have our pharmacy order the BD Oral Dispensing Syringes 5ml and 10 ml Clear with Tip Caps. We also have the caps that go directly in the bottle of meds. They have a hole so you just put your syringe in, tip the bottle upside down, and extract your med! No mess or fuss! Our pharmacy gets those and gives me them for free. The bags of 100 syringes cost 12 dollars each at our pharmacy. Oh, also, the tip caps are great, you can get all their meds extracted in their syringes, cap them and set them down without them leaking everywhere and they stay clean!!

Have a great day!

Oh and the reason I like the baza ones or the ones with "o-ring" seals is because I do use them over and over instead of throwing them away. And they fit so nicely with the dispenser caps and don't leak.

Not only do companies make the ambers colored ones, but I belive there are also different colored tips/caps so you can color code them. As mentioned previously we had several different meds that were all the same color and I'd preload about 12-14 syringes every night for the next day and keep them in the fridge for easy dispensing.

Where do you all find/order your caps? I am having a really hard time finding sterile luer lock caps. Even my pharmacy was confused about what I was wanting <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> .

Here's the place I ordered them from... https://www.healthcarelogistics.com

I ordered the catalog and then called the first time to place an order. Plus they'll send you out SAMPLES. Which was great 'cuz I didn't know what size dispenser caps to order for DS's meds.

I searched high and low for the caps and syringes after DS was born and half the clinic pharmacies I went to thought I was nuts and my local pharmacy wasn't able to get them for me. I finally ordered from a squirrel rescue group <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
