Hehe this is funny.. I actually like it a lot when people tell me I don't look sick at all, it's the best compliment anyone can give me.
I've also always believed that I could do everything - and more - that healthy people could, which is probably why I have lived in 4 different countries in the past 10 years with FVI1 in the 30s.
Yes, denial goes a long way, and as long as I keep doing my treatments and taking care of myself, I think it's helped me get this far. (My doctors agree).

Personally, what I dislike hearing the most is "There's Vera, eating meat with spaghetti and all that butter again..." (I do tend to eat the same thing a lot)
