hey Phoebe,
sorry it took me so long to write back-by the way, I love your name!
Yes, my screen name (scarlett) is taken from my fave movie, Gone with the Wind. Actually I named my dog Scarlett, so it's partly O'Hara and partly due to my love for my puppy too.
My Grandma loves '7 Brides', and when I was little while I'd do my therapy I sit with her and watch it, among many many other old movies.
If you like Kiss Me Kate you have to rent the "Desert Song", also with Katherine Grayson-the great singer. It's a cheesy romance-musical-LOVE it! Howard Keel rocks-when he puts on the beard costume in Kiss Me Kate I used to to love him! So cheesy!
I also reccomend Some Like it Hot-classic, hysterical, good music too. Very modern type humor for this day and age, and for its time it was quite a scandalous movie. Marilyn's costumes were quite revealing! I am a huge Marilyn lover-I have every movie she ever did.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Old movies are great-they're entertaining and i also believe they make you a smart well rounded person. Actors back then had to know not only how to act, but how to be funny, how to sing, how to dance-much more than most actors today. You can learn alot from old movies.
Enjoying chatting oldies with you doll!! Love your "sex and the city-ish" cosmo signature picture by the way!
