I just received my annual enrollment fee. It has increased by 75% even though my income only increased by 4%.

I will be contacting them to see if this is a humongous error, but in the meantime I was wondering if any of you had the same experience? thank you.

Welcome to the great state of California budget cuts!!!

Unfortunately, it is most likely correct. Mine went up 200% when I reapplied in May. Don't bother calling, you'll only get an answering machine. There is no one to talk to at the GHPP office, they laid off all the permanent staff. Independent contractors work the files and they will only return calls if they feel like it. I've tried to call over 20 times about something that was left off my enrollment agreement, and they won't call back. It is so frustrating.

I suppose we should count are blessings that they didn't take the whole program away. It was on the chopping block.

I'm with you, quirkykid and jodijp - mine went up crazy. And here I was hoping GHPP would pick up some slack because insurance at work just bombed out severely. Yay for CA having a program, but man does it deliver a kick to the gut. Between work and GHPP I pay more in a year for insurance than I do for food or any utility.

I keep reminding myself that time is more valuable than money...
