no im basing that statement on the facts that ive visually seen alot of cfers who have been doing nothing all day while in the hospital turn down a pounding because his dinner had just arrived.

his dinner will be there in 30 min when the pounding is over but he decided that eating now was more of a priority than his health

and i know there are a lot of cfers like that.

Oh I get it just because you saw a few cases in your local area where a cf patient made a wrong choice or two that is sufficent evidence to say "and i know there are a lot of cfers like that."

To get back on topic I can see why you were frusterated, and even respect the fact that you think you can take care of yourself at times because I too have felt that way before.

However, I do not support your constant bashing of others' who may have it worse than you and generic statements with no real statistical evidence other than what you "saw" in a very small amount of people. Your little world is not the be all end all of CF behavior, even if you have trained yourself to think so.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt though, you are probably blinded by anger.

I understand your frustrations. I have been there. I don't quite see your need to judge others health care decisions or see how this relates to your doctor. In fact, I will tell my RT to come back later if my meal arrived or was about to arrive. I want my food as good as possible, the RT stuff can wait. :) I don't think this reflects on how I take care of my self. Food is a big priority with CF care.

You should try having a conversion with your doctor, but you need to listen to his/her point of view as well and see if you can work together more. If you are still not happy, find another doctor. As a patient of a doctor or hospital, you are the customer. If you don't like the care you are getting, you are free to go somewhere else.
