Glucose monitors

I do not have CFRD, only use the monitor a few times a week or when I am feeling low/high. My doctors were reluctant to give me one because I am not diagnosed CFRD...so they gave me a very easy one to use. Its called the FreeStyle Lite version.

I do find it very easy and its very small and discreet. I have had no problems with it. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm in the same boat. My last one started giving me really wonky readings and seemed to run very high even when I wasn't feeling it. I am keeping a diet/glucose log so I need something accurate and reliable.

I use a accucheck aviva, I don't think their strips are very cheap but insurance covers them for me. There is a way you can link it to your computer to download numbers but I haven't done it yet. Whenever I'm around one of the dr office's I get them to check my sugar then I check it with mine to compare and it's always within a couple points, kind of annoys the nurse though

I also have accucheck aviva. No the strips are not cheap but they don't require a lot of blood (just a drop).
