Glutathione Safe for those with diabetes or CFRD? Questions for others and self done research links inside.

I also heard about Glutathione and was wondering if it was safe for people with diabetes and for people with liver or kidney problems.
I have read that it helped the liver but i was wondering if it could damage the liver ever or the kidneys.. Anyone know?
Any of you CFRD people out there take it?
I actually read a webpage saying that people with diabetes dont produce enough of it...
here are some links i read on Glutathione and products that have it or products that help the body make it. Tell me what u think

Link about a product called SAMe. Claims to help body and liver with Gluth. REALLY interesting.

These are some I have found but im still very curious.
I have CFRD and I have a high liver count so this product really interested me.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

RE:Glutathione Safe for those with diabetes or CFRD? Questions for others and self done research links inside.

Hi Matt,
I was just thinking you might try listing this question on the glutathione board. I have been on Gsh (glutathione) for over a year now and have cfrd, and it has helped me reduce my insulin needs. Im still on insulin, but the amount i need has gone down. I forgot to mention that i only use ORAL glutathione. I do not inhale it . I have hemoptysis problems and it isnt a good idea to inhale gsh ( or anything unless absolutely necessary) when you have problems with hemoptysis. Hope this helps a bit....<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yes, glutathione is safe and beneficial for those with diabetes. Taking glutathione orally doesn't do much, because it is broken down in the stomach, so you need to take the precursors. Check out www.Glutathione4CF.com for more info
