Okay, I checked out the Theranaturals site, and I think the one you have IS okay.
There's another one there with 'sodium bi carbonate' on the front under 'buffered', which is the one I was referring to earlier (and is the one I have for nebulising plus the cur-caps for oral)...it says its for nebulising on the bottle. they're all referred to as buffered...confusing, I thought the buffered meant they were formulated for nebulising!! Sorry about the mis information!!
I have got Sam to nebulise a couple of times and he had no problem with it...couldnt notice any difference either, but others have. I dropped the nebs because he was on nebbed a/bis.
I just read the link I put up for you and yep, it's fine...again, sorry!!

Our son has been doing nebbed GSH (reduced buffered from TheraNaturals) since he was 18 months old (2 1/2 now) and has done tremendously. His lungs are clear (though if he misses you can tell so we know he needs it), he has grown really well, hasn't cultured PA since we started, and his appetite is great. He takes less than the Dr. Bishop protocol because we have determined what seems to be his optimal dose for now. I think it is wise to go slowly and increase to what "feels" like the right amount for your body. This of course is a personal decision and one must understand the risks and rewards. I suggest keeping a detailed journal if possible :)

He also takes Tumeric from New Chapter since, timing wise, it is tough for me to get the GSH/curc in between the two neb times.

Best of luck to you...we have been very happy thus far with our choice but continue to watch and stay abreast on other things such as NAC (Mucomist).

Hi KrazyKat !
Im glad you decided to try Glutathione. Just in case you dont know this already, i only use Glutathione orally. I remember when i told my doctor that i decided i wanted to give gsh a try the first thing i was told was...."thats fine, just dont inhale it" . To be honest, i cant remember why it says those with cepacia should not inhale it, but i never did since i saw results with just taking it orally. Plus with my having problems with hemoptysis i dont think it would be wise to inhale it . As Chris said, start out small and then build up to the desired dose for you. Please keep us updated and let us know how it goes <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Diane, exactly! There are some situations where inhalation is not recommended. It think it is trickier for those who are a bit further along in CF or culturing certain bacterias/fungi as you mention to use it directly into the lungs. Our son is so young we felt it was great preventative care. It is really case by case. I so wish the research that was listed on the CFF site last year was being completed. It just disappeared and I haven't been able to track down the research since this year. NAC is now listed but was there a funding issue for GSH? Any one know how to follow up on the research (both oral and inhaled were to be tested)? It is so important to look at this along side NAC.

Jody,

Is the tumeric an oral supplement? What effect does tumeric have on CF? I know there was a study on curcumin, but I can't remember what it was.

Hi Dasjsmum,

I have been reading about Sodium Bi C but, lost the webpage sometime back .I am really interested in finding out more on your method of inhaling sodium bi c .

I could not find it on the Theranatuarls.

'sodium bi carbonate' on the front under 'buffered', which is the one I was referring to earlier (and is the one I have for nebulising plus the cur-caps for oral)

I will email you PM.
