i went on a ski trip with my dd when she was 1 y/o.It was high altitude, I think more than 2000 meters (the highest ski resort in Europe) and she had no pb at all.

ymikhale that's good - I just wrote recomadation about taking kids into high altitudes - kids who are born on low lands - made by our Highmountain center. It's not that not to take kids up - but to take it step by step - slower then for grown ups. But for some reason they tell not go much higher.
And I think I know where you went for that holiday
We went there with friens who had a one year old at that time and all went fine also. That is why we chequed the question of altitude also. And they went with the kid up to 3000 metera and all was fine - but they took it step by step.

AleksandraKaczynska, you were right to check. I also asked our CF doctor before going, but she said it was not a problem, but sometimes I prefer to err on the safe side even if CF center thinkgs nothing of it.

But these are recomendations for healthy kids - I also think they are much on the safe side
But still it's good to be causios when going up in altitude....I used to climb alot and altitude sickness kiks hard and you can never be sure when it will come. If you're not regukary at high altitudes - you can't be sure.
yhese where recomendations madr by a highmountain organisation - not a cf center - but i guess they want to be on the safe side too.
