I've never used Golytely, but I do use Miralax. I mix it with Orange Juice because even though there is no flavor, there is a consistency to it, kinda like mineral oil.

I am a nurse and I work on a GI oriented floor so we do bowel preps quite frequently. Ive never had to mix golytely....its always been mixed. So I cant really comment on ratios and mizing. But we mix miralax all the time. We use pedialyte ALL the time insead of water. Even when the docs order it to be mixed with water....I mean not only do they not have to drink the stuff...but they also dont have to listen to everyone complain all night! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Is your golytely in powder form? Would the doc switch your husband to miralax instead? Just a thought.

My daughter uses golytley. The ratio should work out as 1/8 cup per 250ml. That would be the right dosage for it to be affective. Sometimes we throw a little extra in. Does'nt hurt. She has a ace but she also has a MIC-ky. Drinking it not sure how to add flavor. Dry Kool aide maybe???

my son was on it for awhile and Cheryl has it about right...1/8 cup per 250ml. The best thing we found to make it taste better was the crystal light single serve favor packets. Just mix the golytely powder into the water then add the flavor mix (they have the koolaid single serves too) and just shake it all up really well so everything is disolved.
I would ask the doc about miralax though. its basically the same thing and miralax is tasteless and odorless.
Cheryl, I'd love to chat with you about your daughters ACE sometime...my son just had one 3 months ago
