So I took GoLytley on Friday morning....tadaaaaa I was peeing outta my butt for like ever! Which is a good thing I guess. But guess what? By Saturday afternoon I was right back were I started from....bloated and unable to go poo, but I had a new problem. I was full of gas and I could hear the gas rumbling around in my tummy and no matter what I did I could not get it out, I couldn't fart. Boy O Boy was I uncomfortable. I thought about takin other laxatives but I don't want to, I don't want to be dependant on them. So what do I do now? I am soooo sick and tired of being bloated 24/7. I bought some BENEFIBER, maybe that'll help move things along, I hope! So now that I am bloated to the point of where my tummy can't possibly get any bigger does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do or take?

I AM NOT ON ANY MEDS FOR MY CF OR CFRD. I ONLY TAKE MY ENZYMES FOR MY DIGESTION AND THAT IS IT.!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi! My name is Faith. I'm new to the Forum, but not to GoLytley and bowel obstructions. What has worked best for me is prunes. I have to eat a lot tho. My suggestion for gas is simethicone. It sells under brand names like Gas-X, but can be bought under store names for cheaper. I like softgels over pill form. Hope this helps & good Luck!!

Been there done that lol!! I hate go lytley... gosh i remember being younger and always having to take that stuff.. yuck and its not much fun becuase just like you I was "peeing out of my butt" lol and back to where I started!! Try Mira Lax, I love it!! Its a big bottle of white powder..! All you have to do is mix a capful with your favorite drink.. I use a can of soda!! Hey and it doesnt realli have a taste.. you should see results the next day.. I would take it at night! Oh and if once doesnt work take it again but watch out because you may think its not working and umm ta daa lol bathroom time!! haha but seriously talk to your doc about it... because I think its the way to go!! I hope it works!
