I was going to post this in the Adult section because it is more likely to be viewed, but because I didn't want to get my case hopped on, I put it here.
Since I became unemployed, I had not shaven, and have now grown a full beard, something I have never been able to do all my life! The most I did was grow a mustache 15 years ago, partly because some of my work was in a restaurant.
anyway, these are photos I had when Yuka and I went to Wakayama (Where I saw the Japanese Gangsta's)
In addition, I am going to rate it, in honor of the joke Mockingbird was telling me about.

to simply answer your question, the treatment for cf is not ok in japan.
But, I'm taking care of myself, with a little luck. Maybe the lifestyle fits me here, but I do wanna come back Stateside someday.

Because I don't have prescription sunglasses (though I might get them), those big glasses cover over my regular prescription (My mom gave me those years back) and I never used them except for driving (which is nearing a one year anniversary for driving and owning my own car).
The "costume" was basically, put the hat on, and stand behind the manniken to get your picture taken. The helmet WAS heavy.

Some glasses have a sunglass part that clips onto the outside. If you have thick lenses, though (like me) then the glasses will get too heavy and will fall right off your face (which is why I don't wear clip-on sunglasses anymore. =-) Also, do they have transition lenses in japan? Those turn into sunglasses automatically when you step outside (I still don't understand how that works). Anyway, the sunglasses in the pictures remind me of the Terminator.

The normal glasses I use now are specially made so they are thin as can be, despite my eyes so bad, but I haven't seen any "transition lenses" in Japan. I had them way back when in the states, and they were really helpful, but when I got a new pair of glasses without that feature, I was REALLY sensitive to the sun for a long time!
I don't think the clip-on sunglasses would look any better than these big "Terminator" glasses! Maybe when I have an income again, I may invest in sunglasses to put in my car! (Didn't have a car, when I got new glasses. Didn't get new glasses for 12 years, either!)
Anyway, the full beard may be gone after another three months! Another oddity of Japan, they think having facial hair is "untidy" for Japanese, but press that standard onto foreigners, so I never was able to grow as much as a moustache when I was working for a Japanese company!

I still laugh when I see 20 something year old Japanese Ladies staring at me, then as soon as I glance up at them, they turn around to pretend they weren't staring!!
