Got my vest last night, used it this morning according to how Dr. Warwick says to use it (found that in Amy's blog, Thanx Amy) and man I brought up some crap! And at work now still it's coming up, alot easier than normal! It'll be interesting to see how I'm doing 2 months down the line of using it. Only bad thing is that it came with a small cut in the left shoulder strap, about 1cm long, so will have to tell them so they can send a new one, that cut isn't normal right? For now i just cover it with my finger.

Great news Mark. I hope it really improves your lung function. Amy's information is so great, can't wait till my granddaughter is able to appy it. She's too young now, but I am paying attention to how you all are doing with it. Keep us posted.

Glad to hear you got The Vest. I think you'll find it very helpful especially if otherwise you weren't doing any formal cpt. The cut is not right - call them ASAP and while you're at it ask them to send you both the half vest and the full vest. I think it's good to experience both to see which is more effective for you.

Amy, I got TheVest model 104 as far as I know and I got the full vest Minnesota style.
Lauren, the people from the the CF Trust here who purchased it for me are going to call them up about the tear so they can send a new one. It is a small tear tho so it does work with it or I just cover it up with my finger, might try a bit of duct tape or something in the mean while <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0"> Dont know exactly if the vest people will just send out both styles to me like that at no cost, dunno how it works there but it may be different for me as I'm an overseas purchaser but I could be wrong

the vest costs them cents! it would be ludicrous for them not to send it out if you want it in order to get you into the program of using it. They will likely followup with you directly in a few weeks to see how things are going at which point you could ask them to send you the other one. If you even care to. So which did you get full or half? I remember you asking us for our opinions. I prefer the half but felt that the full worked my abs to (because I was consciously flexing them) and I know you are into body building so just a thought. The cost is in the machine, not in the material vest. Someone a long time ago told me that I can get new vests any time I want by calling the company and telling them the vest has a tear in them. It's not worth their time or money to have you send in the bad one. This is not something I've abused but something good to keep in mind. Also, as Catboogie has recently written about in her blog the Hillrom vest has a tendency to leak so it might take the company sending you a few vests before you get a good one - be picky! There should be no leaking air noise coming from the area where the vest connectors are sewn onto the material. Keep us posted how you like it!!
