Dear Vampy,

For starters, I am not a goth-like person. However, I think you should expand your search to just any other Cfer. You don't have to be goth to have valid opinions, just as you have no to be a prep to be good at sports. I would be willing to talk anytime, we can even talk about goth stuff, although I probably know little of it. Just don't limit talking to goths, we're are all in the same boat here.

Hey yeah...I know what you are talking about. Yes I do think having cf can have it's own side of darkness...& I think it's awesome. I myself don't think I would be labeled "goth" but hey I do enjoy the dark side & it does very much intrigue me....so maybe I'm more of a "goth " inside. But yeah anyways...i.m me sometime, it would be cool to talk. Laters~*-:-

I was more goth in high school and the very beginning of college. I've since gotten too lazy for it... and just don't care enough anymore to wear black and bother with make-up, etc. But Countjyro has a point (though I, same as he/she don't mean it "preachy"), you're bound to relate to some CFers, goth or not. Not all of them. I don't relate to some people on here well at all. But others I feel like they've invaded my head they know me so well. (Allie!!!!!!!). Hahaha. Either way, I'm sure you'll find someone here you can talk to.

the reason i was asking is because i would like to observe each side of it. One from a "normal" persons view of cf and one from a "goths" Im not really goth just people like to label me and i give up on trying to fix it. I do believe in god and my religion is protestant but i dont go to church. I do own a bible but i have my darkside. i love black make up black clothes with chains and trench coats. + i looooooooove horror movies and vampire movies. i read anne rice books and watch Van Hellsing and John Carpenters "Vampires" while taking my treatments. I live on my own..almost a year now and i have nothing forward to doing but my treatments, my family never comes and visits me ...ever. I think ive seen my mother once in the past....2 or 3 months. I am having to defend on my own with food and bills , cept for my boyfriend ( a hippie lol, he loves to listen to Neil Young) *shakes head and laughs* He helps me with alot of things but doesnt really understand the way i dress and my music and everything. Me let alone i dont know anyone with cf my ...real dads son in law, or son. had cf but i never knew him he died a few years ago.I dont like the way people label others and "hate" each other just because there diffrent. i just rather people actually get alone thus prep or goth. But anymore i could have cared less.Im not going to change the way people are to each other so why try right. Im not going to change much of anything cept that of which is in my own life. So i focus on that. I just want to talk to someone who has interests like mine as im music and such. See how there perspective of life is with cf and being a outcast. thats all really

Just because you like all of these things doesn't make you "abnormal". I mean can we really define what is "normal" and what isn't? I like reading Ann Rice, and Anita Blake novels, I like wearing black clothes, and listen to alternative, edgy music, I love horror movies, etc. I don't think that makes me gothic, its just the stuff that I like. I don't think a non-gothic CF patient differes from a gothic patient.
