Great Strides Walk

Is this your first walk? It is hard to communicate to people how important this is to you (as a mom). It is such a personal event. Its not just about the money, it is about acknowledging your children's illness and supporting you.

Don't be discouraged if they don't get it right away. Your enthusiasm will show through and they'll understand eventually.

good luck!

Yeah its my first walk and people know how important it is to me. You're right its not about the money but I was hoping that at least my mother in law would be keen on joining us at least. Its a good way to support the girls and what they go through all day ya know?

I even had to register my mother in law myself after asking her for hte 10th time or whatever. She is happy to be doing it I just dont get people understand.... probably because CF is not that "advertised". Which is a little upsetting. Some day....

Our walk is on the 25th of May and I am captain of our team called Matt's Mates. We are walking in memory of my son Matt, who passed away 3 years ago yesterday on the 15th of May.

Keeping fingers and toes crossed that the weather is on our side that day.
