GSH/NAC

We have also been using inhaled GSH for about a year. It does a great job at clearing the lungs and seems to really help with cold/upper resp stuff. We may also consider NAC (Mucomist) in the future.

For us we chose GSH simply because of the risk of liver issues with too much NAC.. We felt it was the lower risk option for a small child e(15 months at the time) especially since we were unsure if his liver would remain healthy (happy to report it has).

Does anyone know if their is any research of NAC in children up through adulthood and liver function? I'd be interested in that research. Also, I believe some have combined GSH and NAC together, not sure what the research is on that one.

Great replies everyone...thanks very much.

I've read somewhere also about the risk of using too much NAC. Dr Clark Bishop recommends taking NAC with GSH , and the brand of GSH we use has NAC in it, but only 50mg per capsule (Cur-caps, Theranatural). My son would have about 200-250 mg NAC a day that way.

Well, I've done a google search and every thing I have read seems to indicate that NAC is good for your liver, and is actually recommended for hepatitis etc.

Ok I realize I am being a total idiot and I read over the whole thread but I didn't see where I could get the tablets, if they are tablets. I am sure I missed it and when pointed out I will feel extremely stupid but it must be one of those times where it is staring right at me and I just can't see it.
