haemophilus influenza

My daughter is 16 and she has just cultured Haemophilus Influenza for the first time. I went on the web and saw that it was a common bug but this is our first time and her culture came back and said she has "abundant" . It seems strange to me that she never cultured it before and now all of the sudden she has it abundantly. We see her CF doctor every 3 months and get a culture each visit so it's not like it's been harboring and growing for a long time. She has cultured MRSA for years now and is also growing that abudantly. It's strange because she says she feels okay. Her pft's are down 10% her weight is down 4lbs but her cf doctor said she sounded fine when he listened to her chest. Any thoughts on this new bug for us? Anybody out there grow this one before? I know it shouldn't bug me but she hasn't grown anything new for so long now.
Thanks in advance

Our daughter cultured it around 1 or 2 yrs old and nobody was concerned about it. They did put her on antibiotics for about 2 weeks and that was the end of it. I wouldn't be overly concerned, and it should disappear soon.

My daughter has cultured this for some time. She tends to culture this very heavily and staff moderately. It has never caused any problems for her. She is usually given an antibiotic but I think it's more for the staff than the other (that's my impression anyway). I just wanted to reassure you that it isn't something that tends to cause real problems (at least in our case). She has cultured it off and on for years but it has never caused a problem for her.
