Lately I've noticed my hair beginning to thin out. It is distressing me a bit because I'm not to keen on going bald at 30. My thyroid function is fine and I have not been on any heavy duty IV antibiotics in over three years. I'm guessing it's genetics. My question is, are any of you guys experiencing hair loss? If so, do you take any drug to help prevent it? Is taking/using a drug like finasteride or Minoxidil even OK for someone with Cystic Fibrosis to do? Any interactions with other meds? I'm going to ask my doctor about it at my next appointment but would appreciate any advice till then. Thanks. </end quote>

<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>

Well D, a few years ago, I had experienced some hair
loss; I now have a fairly noticeable receding hairline. And what's funny is
thick and good hair runs on my father's side of the family; my grandfather is
pushing 80 and has more hair then me! But I credit that to taking an antacid 2
X a day, as antacids tend to negate the action of B Vitamins, which are
integral to a good scalp. But I didn't research this until the problem arose.
Don't count on any doctor to tell you the side effects of drugs- research all
the drugs you are on yourself!
