So i was doing some research on different supplements and came across something called the Acai Berry. It is supposedly filled with lots of fatty good stuff and antioxidants. Has anyone else heard of this and is it good to take if you have CF?

Thanks Bunches Everyone!

yes! I used to take Mona Vie, which was basically a juice supplement with Acai berry and other fruits. It was sold kind of like an Avon type deal, you had to buy it off a "Mona Vie Rep" and it was 40 dollars for a wine sized bottle that you took about a tablespoon twice a day.

I took it for my cf, and my mom took it for arthritis. I swear it gave me so much more energy and made me feel better overall. It boosted my immune system too apparently, I didn't get a cold once in the winter. It's supposed to help with inflammation and stuff (which is why it helped my mom's arthritis too). My pfts got randomly higher after I started taking it. I've heard a lot of success stories about Mona Vie. However, it got reallllly expensive( although we found a website that had it for 20 dollars a bottle...which is still kind of a lot)). I'm sure any drink with acai berries would be just as good!

here's an older post about it: <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.cysticfibrosis.com/messageview.cfm?catid=903&threadid=29906&highlight_key=y&keyword1=mona%20vie">http://forums.cysticfibrosis.c...=y&keyword1=mona%20vie</a>
