A friend sent me this website asking if I have ever heard of this or tried it, it says you can get medicine for FREE. I have CSHCN so I dont pay anything right now for medicine anyways but you never know if they will all of a sudden kick you off, so I was wondering if anyone else has tried this.

I'm not sure where you are from but I used to live in BC and now I live in Ontario and any prescription that I got from the CF clinic was and is covered. So if your getting prescriptions from the CF clinic they should be automatically covered through them.

Actually we were comvered by our insurance as primary and then BCMH ( bureau for children with medical handicaps) and we had no deductible or copays until govenor Taft's budget cuts and then we became one of the 5,000 families in the state of Ohio to be kicked off of the program, actually not kicked off but had to pay the first $20,000 per year before they would pay anything. What a joke!!! so in reality we were kicked off of the program. You are right you never know when you will be denied or kicked off of any program due to budget cuts and funding

In the States, try <a href="<a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.needymeds.com/">NeedyMeds</a>,">http://www.needymeds.com/">NeedyMeds</a>,</a> which gives a list of ways to obtain free drugs without health coverage if you don't have the money.

Just recently, I used a 7-day free trial offer for Nexium from a magazine to obtain some extra pills. It was supposed to be for new users only, but what the hey, it's not like lying to a drug company is immoral! I have health coverage, but those things are darn expensive, so it won't hurt to have a tiny amount of backup in case I can't get a prescription filled right away. Look for creative ways to get more pills, like that, which can come in everything from purchasing online in Canada to using trial coupons and barely-legal tricks. Best of luck!

Hopefully, others will post more ideas.
