Grayson has refused her ADEK vitamins this week. They are awful tasting and i really don't blame her. I can't even sneak it in anything. What other kinds are out there?

Vitamax and sourceCF drops. DS never seemed to mind his adeks drops, but they'd make me gag. Smelled sooo nasty. He takes bubble gum flavored Source CF chewables now, but grayson is probably too little as they're huge.

We tried ADEK with Reagan first, but she would gag, so we switched her to Vitamax. She still doesn't like it but it doesn't make her gag. We make sure she has a drink handy. Everythings day to day with her being two...somedays she refuses enzymes, somedays vitamins...she takes the Azithromycin pretty well, but Bactrim is always a fight. I'd say switching is worth a try, anything we can do to make their lives a little easier, right? Hopefully your doctor and nutritionist will agree. I know I will be asking for the chewables for Reagan soon, she just got in her two-year molars.

Emily rejected the drops after a while too. Very messy when she learned she could spit, um, I mean PROJECT, the nasty stuff out of her mouth. We started crushing up the chewables (But a pill crusher from Walgreens - also ASK your dietician for the correct dose, as the chewables are meant for bigger kids - probably half a tablet is good for a little one) and sprinkling them on applesauce, just like enzyme. We do the same thing now for her probiotic which is HUGE and she can't swallow it like she can with her enzyme.

We did have to play with brands a bit to find the best tasting one. I think we settled on Source Cf orange chewables. I remember at one time our dietician gave us a bottle of every single brand/flavor that she had on hand so that we could taste test them. We made it a game for awhile, which appealed to the 3-year old Emily. That, plus a better taste got her over t he hump, and now she ASKS if we forget to give it to her!
