Hi I was wandering if someone can give me an idea on the Hill Rom Vest 104.
They have just arrived in Australia and I am not sure what sort of setting etc to use. Live in Western Australia and company is in Sydney and our medical team here has no experience with them so they are no help.
My daughter is 13yrs old and she has never been productive. I am wanting to see if this will work and so far it seems to be - she is starting to become moist but still not able to get anything up.
For years they told me that there was nothing wrong with this but I kept thinking it all must just be sitting deep in her lungs hardening and doing damage -looks like I might have been right.
Anyway I have started her on 5mins sessions x6 on pressure 6 and htz 7.
do I vary the settings?

any advise would be most appreciated.
also anyone in Australia on this website that might also have one let me know.

ps. no insurance cover here in Oz for them yet so at the moment hiring at $500 p/month and they want $15000 to buy.

cheers Paula

i've got something just for you!

Go to my blog, scroll down to the bottom to where you see "categories".

Under "categories" click "Warwick". Dr. Warwick is the man who invented the machine.

I have a letter that he wrote to me detailing the most effective way to use the machine.

If you have any questions, let me know <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

We started off doing 10 hz, 12 hz, 14 hz with a pressure of 5 for 20 minutes -- and we were told to up the pressure. Nowdays we do 10 minutes of each hz and we're up to a pressure of 10. DS is 3 1/2 years old.

thankyou for that sakasuka

I still am a bit confused.
The vest's pressure only goes up to 10 I take it that we vary this as well.
Say start off at what is comfortable for her and then progress up each time.
ie: pressure 5 freq 7 - pres 6 freq 8-pres 7 freq 8 and so on until we find what she can tolerate.

Still not sure if her becoming moist is a good or bad thing but only time will tell.

thanks
Paula
