And I got pregnant after 13 years of no birth control. I also adopted a little boy, so if you ever need advice about either, feel free to PM me.

Not to hijack this thread or anything but...

Jeana, you are an inspiration to me. We have spoken in the past about your adopted son, and you offered so much advice to me and my hubby. I find it a "miracle" that you were able to conceive after 13 years without birth control. I'm not in any way implying that that will happen to me, but you offer a glimmer of hope. I also find it absolutely amazing how your FEV1 bounced back ever so nicely since your difficult pregnancy. You had me very concerned!

I find your whole story inspirational! I doubt highly that I'd be trying for 13 years (based on FEV1s) like you; however, I have pretty much "thrown in the towel" after 3-3.5 years of nothing.

If it happens, it happens. If not, then I guess not.

That's so sweet of you, Jenny! I think of you a lot, too. Some of your posts just break my heart. I really hope that something happens in your future that allows you to realize your dream of motherhood.

I wish I had a surefire method that would make it happen for you. The only real changes I made that may have determined whether I got pregnant were increased weight (probably to the just barely overweight for my height), normal vitamin levels (Aquadeks are the only Vitamins that have let me achieve that.), and eliminating caffeine/increasing the water I drink. I did increase my Vest, Pulmozyme and Albuterol over those 13 years, but only because my FEV1 had decreased. Oh yeah, I was on Aztreonam before I got pregnant which had virtually eliminated my Psuedomonas for a year and a half. Anyway, I know you've tried all kinds of things to conceive. And I know you weren't looking for advice, I just wish I had had the magic solution. Maybe when you least expect it a baby will just fall into your lap. Sometimes when you concentrate on other parts of your life, it happens for you.

Just out of curiousity, do you ever think about giving the fostadopt option another try, or are you through with that?
