you will do fine. Dont worry if you are breastfeeding you can still take the pain meds that are needed. Also, they will or should (ask for one) this basically girdle like velcro belt that you can put around your tummy and wear when coughing etc if you are up and around, until then hold a pillow really tight when you cough to help keep from rippign incision.

It seems like just yesterday you were posting about being pregnant, man time flies!

I'm not a CFer, but I remember what helped me a lot with pain after the Csection was those granny panty underwear that literally go all the way up to your boobs (the ones made out of stretchy material), helps hold the stomach in. Remember to use a pillow against your stomach when you are coughing. That will help ease the pain/discomfort.

I will be thinking about you on tuesday!

What grannie panties? I didnt have those Julie <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

Coughing is a bitch. I didnt have an epidural. I had a spinal block & some anesthesia so I didnt have the pleasure of pushing a button for pain.

I used plain old tylenol & it hurt like a mother. At the time I was just going with the flow. One thing I learned is not to let the pain get to bad before getting more. Mine got so bad I was paralyzed & could move onto the bed pan.

IF I could do it again knowing what I know now.....DRUG ME UP lol!

Holding the pillow helps, but dont be fooled in thinking it takes it all away especially with the cough of a CFer.

BTW WHere are you delivering since you are in NYC I was curious?
