Interesting thread-I've very glad for your success!
I've always done CS on and off for years. I give oral drops to my daughter (non cf) during flu season to help fight bugs off. My hubby does it, we all do.
I have nebbed in it the past but didn't see a huge difference, so its one of those things that fell to the wayside.
I currently have Sovereign Silver's bio active silver hydrosol. I'm wondering if that would be a good brand to start trying the occasional neb.

With those numbers, are you being evaluated for a lung TX?

As it was described to me, exercise doesn't affect FEV1. When mine got below 30, I tried to exercise as much as possible....my FEV1 didn't budge.

I wish you luck!

I've been evaluated at UPMC for tx when I was at 40%.
They said I was 'too healthy.' But it felt good to have all the testing done
and everything is in order when/if I need it.

congrats on your recent accomplishments.
Keep up the good work. Hopefully you won't be thinking tx anytime soon.

I'm going full speed a head musclemania! I asure you of that. The thought crossed my mind as what's gonna happen if I don't bust a$$ here, but I'm not considering asking about it anytime soon. They'll let me know when it's needed.

Not necessarily. I disagree with waiting for someone to tell you how to save yourself.

At an FEV1 below 30, you're a bad cold away from being in critical condition. Congrats on staying on top of it so far, but take it from me, it's time to get evaluated.

This can seem scary, of course, but not as scary as being too late and too sick for a transplant.

As my CF doc once explained, there's a magic number for FEV1 (different for everyone). When you fall below it, it's like walking off a cliff. Mine was around 26-24. After that, life got very hard.

I need others on this board to show some support and back up what I'm saying. I'd hate to see a tragedy.
