Health Problem - what could it be?

Well, it's been a long while. While I may not have been posting or logging in, I have been lurking around, checking in every once and awhile. I haven't been in much of a mood to post lately. I've been dealing with personal life stuff, health stuff, etc. I just needed a break.

But here I am, coming to you all in hopes of some words of advice, help, etc. How could I not? You guys have been so helpful in the past.

So here it is: I haven't had my period in over two month. I had a couple of days of spotting about a week after my last period, and that was it since. I've been throwing up for the past month now almost daily. I can't stand the smell of certain foods. The smell of fried hamburger, literally makes me toss my cookies! I'm tired all the time, I seem to either be bloated or I've put on some weight only in my waist/stomach area. I have to pee alll the time. I've also just gotten over a kidney/bladder infection two weeks ago. To me it seems that I have classical pregnancy symptoms, but I should let you know, I've had two pregnancy tests already and both came back negative, though, they were done very early on when I stopped having my period, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I have an appointment with my doctor on the 2nd. My questions are: is it possible to get a false negative urine sample for pregnancy? Or, could this very well be a CF thing? Has anyone had this problem before? I can't think of any stress or weight loss that I've experienced that could bring this on. Any ideas people? I'm just wracking my brain.

Ps. I've missed you all! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Yes you could have a false negative on a urine test, particularly if you took it early on. I would take another pregnancy test and see what that says and then I am sure that your doc will take a pregnancy test when you see him as well.

I had similar symptoms a few months ago (I don't have CF) and went in a got checked out and doctor didn't find anything wrong with me. He thinks that it was just stress. I took some meds to make my period start and that really seemed to help.

Good luck!

You haven't taken another pregnancy test since? I would. False negatives can be pretty common early on in pregnancy.

Otherwise I would think maybe thyroid??

Theres a whole list of reasons why you could have missed a period. Of course the most obvious one is pregnancy. I agree with Lisa, take another pregnancy test.
In the last year or so ive had about 2periods in total!! This is because of my weight loss, health decline and all the antibiotics im currently on. Steroids have also messed my periods up big time.Im on so much medication at the mo that my poor body is fu**ed up! No wonder i dont have a period anymore!!lol.
Did you take any antibiotics for your kidney and bladder infection?? This could be the cause? And stop worrying, gettin stressed about not having a period is enough to stop it happening. Take care hunny
