Hello! I just found this site while browsing and I am wondering why it took me so long to notice it...I am a 21 year old woman who has cf. I have not really tried a support system outside of my family, friends, and doctors nor have I had a community to go to in recent years (due to more strict infection control.) I would like to hear from some people and possibly learn some new things.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hello Jessica, My name is Amanda and I am 24 with CF. I just started browsing this site too. I think it is pretty interesting you will notice that Sean is very funny, I dont know him personally just from what I have read. Jazzy's mom is awesome and very helpful too. I dont have anything really new to tell you, But feel free to ask anything even to blab is good. Im on here at least once a day.

hi jessica! I'm new here to !!! I have a nephew with cf ,thats what brought me here . i also have a daughter with a severe brain disorderBUT i am ready to take on the care of my nephew . i took him and his two sister to colorado skiing and it seemed to me every time we ate i had to remind him of his need to take enzymes??? and his breathing treatments And 4 days into trip i see hes on antibiotic(forget name now but it was biggy) but he wasnt taking it(2 doses missed) !!!. i mean he should know but hes only 9.5 and his sisters arer 13 and 17. they are not pushing /helping him and anyway he just went to doc today and his lungs are not doing as well????? i haven't talk to his mother yet for full scoop but i'm ignorant with this disease . i know alot about lissencephaly-more than alot of doctors . we have a loop network for the mothers and we exchange questions and answers . if you haven't been through it you can find somebody whoi has, thats what i'm looking for here. feels like first day of school<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Hi there, welcome, my favorite thing about this forum is that everyone is welcome, cfers, parents, relatives, friends, people doing homework assignments. Everyone, it's not like a private club where only like minded people are allowed to join and others are banned for politely voicing opposition <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Sorry I couldn't resist. Oh, there's also great variety, there's useful information, support and you can rely on Sean to lighten things up for us once in a while. Pretty soon he may get his own folder, it will be called "GROSS, but funny".

Welcome JessicaFrances! I apologize for not seeing your post sooner......I am usually good about catching the new ones. Since my life is this site, my daughter, hubby & animals LOL......within reason anyway before people start worrying!
