hiya everyone im new here ive just joined so i thought that i would tell you a little about myself.

im a female and im 18 years old and i was diagnosed when i was 5 weeks old. i have a brother that dont suffer from c.f and is 20. im at college at the moment studying health studies as im hoping to be a nurse. i do karate once a week and im currently a brown belt!!

thats kool karate is a good way 2 stay in shape. wat college are u at? good luck wit that youll prabobly make a great nurse whenever u get that chance.

karate is so cool! I just quit (problems with the school) last month, a belt away from black. What type are you doing (tai kwon do, kenpo, etc)? I did kenpo.

yea karate is a good way to stay in shape. im at Cambridge Regional College in England!! its ok there loads of great people there. Thanks for saying that i would make a gret nurse most of my frinds and family think that i will make a great nurse as well so that is a great thing to here.

im not too sure what type of karate i do but it fun!!
you shouldnt have given up even if you did have loads of problems i had a bad experience sometime ago and i didnt give up and im still going strong <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> thanks for the reply!!

hi Helen! welcome to the forum<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> i'm Maria and i'm 20.(actually 19,5 but it's ok!) where are you from?i'm greek and i'm quite new at the forum too.i was diagnosed when i was 7 months old so i've "grown up" with cf from the beginning..it;s really good the karate thing a kind of gymnastics-i'm dancing instead!

i use to be a gymnast as well!! but i gave that up lol!!

yea i hope to be a nurse well im determined to be a nurse!! cause its my dream

I actually just got on today you might see my other reply's ther not very good. i did karate for a while but i quite( it was to hard for me)and plus i was younger

Hi my name is Ashley and I had a baby 5 weeks ago who was diagnosed with CF at 2 weeks old. I'm very worried about her future because she already has a lung disease.
