I found this link to compare different enzymes:

Which indicates Pancrease MT and Pancreaze are identical products; however, the product packaging for Pancreaze complies with FDA requirements for reporting of enzyme contents.

If you don't like Creon, be aware that Zenpep is much more like Creon in it's balance of ingredients than Pancrease/Pancreaze.

Amber,

Just thought I would throw some more info out there. My daughter is on Pancrecarb as well. What makes Pancrecarb unique is that it is buffered in sodium bicarb. That prevents it from breaking down too early in the acidic environment of the stomach before it reaches the small intestine.

One suggestion our nutritionist had was to take a Tums with Creon to try to recreate what Pacreacarb does. Another thought is to use an acid blocker like Prevacid to aid in helping your enzymes work better. Of course, check with your doc before making any changes like that but this is something our clinic has suggested. I have emailed the FDA, my senator with the Pancreacrb issue as well as spoken with the CFF.

THe problem that Pancrecarb was taken off the market with no adequate substitute for CF'ers p@sses me off... THis is the main issue and sticking point for me. I may have to start making more phone calls
