Help Raise $ For Research! Read This Page!!!!

Hi! Okay, so I posted a question asking for creative fundraising ideas in the Families section, and one of the awesome ideas I got (thanks, Carey!) was to get a recipe book together, with patients and/or patients' friends/family's favorite recipes and stories. So....I'm writing now to ask you guys if you'd like to submit YOUR favorite recipe and story. If you don't want to give me your story, that's fine, you can always just sign it (Carey's example was: From Mary Smith, proud grandmother of Ethan w/CF), something like that. Whatever you choose is fine. The recipes don't have to be for CF patients only; they can be recipes for any food! Thanks so much!

We did a recipe book a couple of years ago to raise money for CF in Quebec, Canda. It was a learning experience, and a lot of work. Although the project did well I had hoped it would do better. Depending how many recipes you are looking at, it is a lot to organize and type. My suggestion to you is to gather all the recipes, put them in the order they will appear in the book and then type them. We did not go in this order and when you keep moving recipes from page to page it is a lot of wasted time. Put it together manually first, do the table of contents and then you are set to go.
Good luck with it. It is an ambitious project and a lot of work.

Thanks, Heather, for the advice. I've also asked my mother (she's a caterer, so she obviously reads bazillions of cookbooks!) to help me collaborate it. Thanks again!!!
