ok. pre-pregnancy i weighed around 118 lbs and now i'm 106 lbs. i haven't been this little since i was 12 or so.

what do yall eat or drink to keep weight on? i like being thinner, but i know my doctor is going to kill me. i am drinking two ensure plus a day. i find that i get full really easy and don't want to eat much.

i have a feeling my doctor will highly reccomend that i stop breastfeeding so i will put weight back on. i really don't want to because of the bonding, the fact that its so easy and doesn't cost. i just don't want it jepordizing (spelling?) my health.

whatever happens you are doing your best and have already given yoru daughter a very good start so be proud of that!

I have tried to stop loosing weight because of my milk supply and was successful by adding in more small doses of food. I am overweight and have nnever tried to gain weight but here are my ideas.

I have a protein shake before I go to the gym now where before I woudl just eat breakfast afterward, then eat breakfast afterward then I have a mroning snack then lunch afternoon snack dinner and before bed snack.

I think if you really buff up those morning and evening snacks it will get you far. Add in alot nuts to your diet will help and some hard boiled eggs are convenient but dont go crazy on either one--liek tons and tons a day as some believe an excessive amount of a highly allergenic food can increase risk food allergy in baby.

I am sure you could buff up this protein shake but this is what I drink in morning:
whole milk yogurt +blueberries+kefir(you could skip this and add some ice or some sort of milk+flax seed. To buff it up you could add some ground nuts to it I tried that once and it was good.

Try eating everytime she feeds and then your meals as usual. For me I try to eat right when I wake up (trust me I'm not hungry) and right before I go to bed. Those two additional calorie intakes seem to allow me to maintain my weight. I was 127 before pregnancy and now fight to stay at 120. Breastfeeding is also taking a lot of my energy...probably actually related to the weight loss but the thought of giving it up breaks my heart.

I was able to bf Alexa for the first year. I was able to maintain weight by adding 3 shakes a day. A glass of whole milk mixed with one package of Carnation instant breakfast, one of Swiss Miss and two tablespoons of Quick. The mix tasted just like hot chocolate and I think each shake was about 350 calories. I cannot stand Ensure so the shake was a good option for me.
