We're in the same boat these days at our house; Here are some non-pharmaceutical things we do around my house when the air is green:

Vacuum & damp/swiffer-mop constantly (we have a carpet-free house)

Change clothes when we come in - at least shirts.

Wash hands and wipe down hair and face with a clean damp washcloth when we come in & shower before bed

Saline nasal spray for the youngster & saline nasal rinse for the older gang

Pray for rainy days

We end up doing alot of extra laundry and showering during April and May.

Thank you everyone! You guys are great. I had forgotten the basics...clean sheets, showers prior to bed, etc.

I will take some of these suggestions with me and see what I can do! Also spoke with her CF clinic nurse, and she gave the same daily suggestions as all of you, plus called in a few scripts for her!

Thanks so much! Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons, but boy are they tough on Kayla<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0"> She never had any problems with allergies until about two years ago, and by then we were already in our current home that backs up to a bunch of trees!

We have a ton of trees, too, aargh. We do the sheets and shower thing too, but we also have an air cleaner in her room. I run it for a couple of hours before bedtime with her door shut, then depending on if it's annoying her that night, we'll either turn it off or leave it on when she goes to bed. Windows closed. I hope this works in the summer as we don't have A/C and leave windows open.

Both of my boys are on Singular and it seems to work great. They have been on Claratin, Zyrtec, Benedryl but the Singular seems to work the best. It is worth a try at least. I know that their ped's doctor said that if you don't treat the allergies they are likely to cause sinus infections. Check it out.
