My 4 year old takes a bunch of medicines for his CF too and it can be pretty depressing sometimes...you have plenty of company there.

But if you are leaving the doctor's office with a new prescription and are not sure what it is for or why, I think you should ask to have it explaine better. Maybe try writing down your questions before the next visit.

Whenever my boy gets a new medicine, I first ask the doctor what problem it is supposed to be fixing and if it is for a little while or a long time. I also ask what they are going to look at or monitor to decide if it is working.

Thank you all, it really help to know that I can thalk to some one that understands what I'm going through. Marcos is doing fine and know I feel less drepressing because I know that this is part of keeping him healthy. Thankyou again

Yup, part of the daily maintenance! Some will take more, some will take less. Briceton at 16 mos. takes 14 different medications daily (some twice a day) and over 42 enzymes a day. It does get a bit overwhelming but before you know it, it all kind of becomes natural and just part of your day!
