What's with the spider bites? They cause cellulitis?

Kiel</end quote></div>

I know a lizard scratch can...........lol
My one friend picked up my male iguana and i told him to wash his hands after he got scratched by him ( a very small minor scratch) Well he didnt , and sure enough a few days later he was at the doctors with cellulitis.

Im glad you went to the ER and got treatment for your infection. I only had that once ( dark line up my arm) but it was from an iv. Of coarse when i showed it to my nurse she pulled the iv and restarted it in my other arm<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0">.

Cats are the worse for giving you a bad infection if they bite or scratch you! Especially bite--I have taken care of quite a few in the hospital taht are there because of a cat bite!!! Always always wash good, and use alcohol on a cut or bite, and monitor closely. If you get a redness, mark it with a pen (ink) so you can see if it is spreading. I'm glad you caught it in time--it could've been a terrible mistake--I kid you not!!!

I'm with CowTown, did they ever say what it was?</end quote></div>

No...all he said was that it was "infected". Obviously. My finger is taking on a nice blackish tinge now. It could be from the blood that accumulated when he drained it...but I dunno. I'm sure if they find something on the blood draws they will tell me

I woke up today again with temp of 104...shivering etc. I have been taking tylenol like candy trying to get my temp to go down. I feel better tonight...but I am sure the fevers will be back tomorrow. If they aren't better in two days, i might call my docs to go in and get assessed, see if i need to go in or take stronger abx. I really don't want this spreading to my lungs.
