Hemmoroid or Rectal Prolaspe?

I'm a little embarrased to ask this question, but my toddler has a reddish/skin colored bump right at her anus. She is acting perfectly normal, but I did just change a solid little poop. Do you think this is a hemmoroid? I didn't know it was possible so young.... Or could it be rectal prolapse? I have no idea what that looks like. Thankfully, she isn't acting any different so it can't be causing any pain!

Thanks,
Zoe, mom to Kate wCF

My experience with rectal prolapses is that they are VERY obvious. With my daughter Kayla, it was obvious that part of her colon was sticking out. It turns itself inside out and it was normally full of mucus and had poop on it (sorry if tmi). It would be at least the size of a golf ball, and normally much larger. It is somewhat hard to explain, but it was never what I would consider to be a bump. It was a tube of very thick skin looking material that was turned inside out.

I hope that helps. Hard to explain. And Kayla would walk funny or sometimes wouldn't walk at all because that large blob would be sticking out. Sometimes several inches would be sticking out and would have to be put back in at the hospital. Sometimes it would reduce on it's own after I would hold her in a warm bath for a while.

Ohhhh, how I DO NOT miss those days. We had way too many to count, and it was horrible.

I had rectal prolapses a bunch of times as a kid, and if I remember right, I don't think I could've been just normally walking around with it. If she's not noticing anything, I'd say it's something else.

Now, CLICK THESE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!
They are gross, and at least one might be photoshopped, I'm not sure.

But here are some pictures I found online of what a rectal prolapse might look like, for reference:

OK, that was gross but quite a relief because that is not at all what I am seeing!! Her bump is actually quite small and not at all the same color as those. Thanks for the help though!
