Yes I've heard that from several docs, but most notably from a great Endo when I went all the way to Denver (National Jewish) for a consult.
No one's done a study - we are a small population, and a small amount of money for research. I don't like it either, but I agree it's a great topic.

And I agree- I don't think stopping a period or messing with our cycles is the end all be all - I think hemoptysis is a combination of a number of things. But studies definitely show that it's harder for women to clear mucus around their period as well (latest CFRI conference).
