is there anyone who can expain me the heredity of our disease?
If one parent has CF anhd the other doesnt can the baby be CF free?Can 2 CFers have children?

Yes, I can help you with that.

If both parents are carriers but do NOT have CF, the baby has:
25% chance of having CF
25% chance of not being a carrier or having CF
50% chance of being a carrier

If one parent has CF and the other is NOT a carrier, the baby has:
100% chance of carrying CF but not having CF

If one parent has CF and the other IS a carrier, the baby has:
50% chance of CF
50% chance of carrying CF but NOT having CF

There was a couple on another CF support group that both had CF & they had (I beleive) one son. The husband had since had a tx & passed away shortly afterwards.
