Some bits from a new update, I have taken some things out like names and other personal things because this is not from a public place. Chris' sister wrote this
<i>Chris is doing so well ! She was quite sleepy today so the original plan to get her out of ICU to the step-down unit up on the resp ward was delayed by a day. But she had 2 of her chest tubes removed, and could talk a bit louder than before. She was having some pretty funny hallucinations but they gave her some haldol to take them away (which is too bad cus I imagine that was fun!).
We talked to her transplant docs and the nurse in charge and they're happy with her progress. If everything goes to plan, she'll be upstairs and out of ICU by tomorrow !</i>

so glad to hear that she is showing progress. i am thinking of her and her family. while i don't know her real well, i read her blog. i also felt a connection with her since she had a sibling w/ CF, as do i. great health and speedy recovery to her! <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">
