the complications was my cervix was effaced to 15 when i was 23 weeks pregnant..two weeks later it went to 8. it was shortning very fast. they were afraid id go into preterm labor so they put me in a hospital with steriod shots. i spent three weeks in the hospital and finally was stable enough to go home. two weeks later, i dialated to 3. so they put me back in to watch me. i went home two weeks later and one week after that i went to the er with severe pain and turns out i was contracting like crazy and i dialated to five.so they rushed me back to the hospital and gave me a second set of steriods. the magnizuim sulfate they put me on to stop the contractions didnt work. nor did the shots or the pills. the drs decided since im 33 weeks pregnant and i had two courses of steriods that it would be fine for me to go ahead and have them bc nothing seems to be working, hes coming out weither we like it or not. + more complications comes from my size with the cf im five foot and before i got pregnant i was 111 pds. i was the size of a 12 year old basically theres not much room for him to grow. im currently over 150 pounds and just turned 8 months pregnant. Plus i have a sideways back and uneven hips which gives hell on my back. i use alot of therma care heat wraps and hot water bottles. i am starting to get dizzy alot even if i walk to the bathroom soim causious about walking places. the steriods were for the babies lung development and the weight too. so hope with all four shots he will be well enough to go home if i deliver in the next few days.
me and my husband are making tremendous efforts with our marrage. things are going alot better. he has a job now <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> and we have our own little trailor he just remodeled fo rme while i was in. im getting two ssi checks in a week and im paying off ALL the bills and the rest for the baby and emergancy money!!! things are finally starting to look up for us. hes finally gotten more excited about the baby...well at least showing the excitement. he spends alot of time with my grandma bc his died and he feels like my grandma is his now and he loves her to death, she was telling me when they went to good will and started looking for things he kept going " i wanna buy something for my son i cant wait to see him" so he bought him a bath robe with a lil duckie hat and stuffed animals. hes been alot more help around the house and is totally helping me get around. im so glad hes starting to realize whats really going on bc i really didnt want to raise this baby on my own. esp now that we know lucas wont have cf. that made things better too i stopped worrying so much and everything
