YMIKHALE, thanks for your response; I will google "Normal elastase", and I agree, diagnosis for CF should be left ultimately to sweat testing or genetics, not an elastase test. My daughter had sweat tests in the 30's and a positive fat malabsorption test. We've been trying to get a diagnosis for 3 years! We're asking for genetic Ambry testing now. EDAN, I will be praying for your newly diagnosed child...passing on to me what your doc said about elastase ranges is very helpful! MOMMAFIRST and SOPHIE, I appreciated your replies as well.
