I have never taken this but this sounds good. I might consider since I workout and my doctors tell me my salt is low in my blood. I added salt and I am fine but wondering if this product is so good like it says it is.

Himilayan salt is probably pretty good!! Anything with 'bittern' in it is good for the body. I had been on Sea Salt lately, cause that's what the wife had been sprinkling on my eggs in the morning!!
She also has this very bitter tasting orange drink, which she puts some bittern in it, to help the body do something, forgot what exactly, though!
The oranges are from Okinawa, which adds an 'exotic feeling' to it's bitter taste!!! And, actually, bitter foods are good for the body, too!!

Fred, not signed in cause on dial-up!!! (No free wireless lan here!!)

you are welcome. Before you buy it check out the prices at whole foods and home depot for the lighting. IF you live in a northern climate it does pay to have this kind of lighting.

As for the salt, I am going to check it out sometime in the future. I am very careful what I take because of the transplant.

I asked the wife again what the bittern was good for, and she replied with the fact that the bittern, (and bitter foods, drinks) helps in digestion. Something I'm sure we all need!
Also, she heard of the Himilayan Salt, and said it does have bittern in it, and is good for the body!

I looked up bittern and could not find anything. Could you tell me more.

Tonight I had salmon caviar for the first time. I will take this instead of fish oil pills. I feel that the flax seed and all these oils increase my drug levels. Not a good idea. There in competition of some sorts.

Risa,
No problem about giving info on 'bittern'.
Mind you, I had to translate it from "Nigari", which was the Japanese word for 'bittern". I found 'bittern' in my 1982 Edition of the American Heretage Dictionary. It was listed as bittern, with a little number two, cause the first meaning was a type of bird. Bittern was defined as "The solution of bromides, magnesium, and calcium salts remaining after sodium chloride is crystallized out of sea water."
Sometimes, I actually get a craving for Sushi!! And, my favorites are Toro, Maguro, Chu-toro, and Salmon with Onions!!! (Not crazy for the salmon eggs, but I eat them once in a while)
However, this is an additional note to Grendel. Yes, salt is good for us, but despite how much we lose, we have to learn to balance our salt intakes with the salt losses, and keep our hydration levels, too. Summertime is the hardest for me because I can never keep my salts AND liquids in balance.
Granted, with the oh so very salty foods that the Japanese have, I don't have to salt everything!!!

Thank you Fred
very interesting. I only have to use extra salt when I exercise a lot and that is almost everyday so I take in extra salt when I can.
