It is a tough one to treat but can be erradicated. Do your son's doctors feel confident in continuing this course of treatment? My boys tried several different things during their treatment (different myco) but eventually they got the right combo~ imipenem IV, rifampin and bactrim oral.

Jane,
So far these are the only antibiotics the mycobacterium responds to in the lab. They did a bronch two weeks ago to get another culture. Hoping to find another antibiotic to treat it with.
