Home IV's

I have always experienced a "pendulum swing" with my IV tuneups. When I was in college I scheduled my tune-ups accordingly so that I'd have my down week the last week of classes, then my feel good week to coincide with the finals, which is when I really needed the energy.

I think the experience of IVs is sort of like housecleaning. You have to dust before you vacuum. It makes a mess at first, but once the vacuum is run, it's all much better.

I always get WAY worse before I begin to get better! Infact, just from accessing my port, I get sick, way sick for about 3 days (fevers, chills, bodyache, headache, etc) it's miserable! Then I start my meds which make me sick. I have to take a chemo drug to help with the side effects of the IV's.
My cough increases and I feel so ill it's hard to get those extra treatments in because I'm sleeping or nauseated.
Hang in there and I hope you get better soon!!!!

the doctor always tell me that Austin will get worse before he gets better. When he comes to check on him and he is all gunky and coughing he always says good its working.
