Hi: Sorry for your discomfort. I find that my joint and muscle pains are directly related to hydration. As a diabetic and CFer I have constand problems with hydration. I work really hard to drink enough water and those days that I do my pain is alleviated for the day only to return the next day and I start over again. I also find that being well rested helps. It's just that when we get sick, and dehydrated and tired, it just seems to exacerbate the pain.

When we are good we are great, and when we are hurting we really hurt.

I will pray for a solution. A simple trial , be sure you are drinking enough water, not ice tea, of coffee cause they can dehydrate making things worse.

Best wishes

Celebrex works, but is very often not covered by insurance. Mobic is an older drug, but like a lot of the NSAIDs can wreak havoc on your stomach, even when taken with meals. I'd give it a shot though, just keep an eye on things. I'd also suggest that you see an orthopedist, or maybe even consider a pain clinic, if nobody will work with you to manage your pain. Ideally you would fix whatever is causing the pain, but sometimes that isn't an option, in which case the goal is to alleviate symptoms.
