hospital packing list

with all the different threads on here about someone going in to the hospital and asking what all they should take with them, i think we need to compile all the info into a big spreadsheet and every time someone posts one of the threads like this i'll just post that spreadsheet. I'll make two lists, one for children, that includes things like coloring books to keep a small child busy, and an adult's list, things to keep an adult from losing their mind. Everything you take, from your slippers to your toothbrush or laptop, if you take it, list it! i'll compile the lists you all post and i'll take and put "rankings" on what is most important by what is listed by you all the most, and maybe even a section that explains why to take that certain item

Books for child and for adult(staying in the room) My sister had lent me 2 books that I read when Maggie was in the hospital,(I had a hard time sleeping and it distracted me from stress) Phone cards(calling from the hospital the first admission was a $100 phone bill). Playdo. Puzzles. newspapers. Drinks.Toothbrush. Having a trusted family memember switch off with you so you can take a shower go the bathroom(for parent).
