My kids all have really good teeth, no cavities (two of them are adults). I know that discolouration was a problem years ago with a certain type of antibiotic (as mentioned above).

My 12 yr old has had nebbed Tobramycin and Timentin since he was three, and his teeth are fine. They were discoloured (yellow), but that cleaned off at the dentist. I think it is a result of the GSH capsules which have curcummin in them (which is yellow).

Since he has been on straight GSH his teeth are cleaner. I live in Australia, and we have flouride in the water which protects teeth. I dont know what degree this has influenced outcomes for my children's teeth cf wise. I dont think the tooth problems are because of cf...I've been around cf for thirty years and bad teeth have not been a problem for anyone I know of. Again, that could be as a result of the flouride in our water.

I'm pretty sure that Tobi does not discolour teeth. I know that here in Australia we dont use Cipro until kids are over eighteen because it can impact on bone development apparently. Maybe the Cipro impacts on teeth.

DS has been on tobi since he was 3 months old, keflex since he was about a month old as well as albuterol/atrovent nebs. When his teeth started to come in I was worried to death because they had brownish spots, marks on them. Worried they were rotten, Turned out, when I finally took him to the dentist at about age 2 or 3 that it was his ADEKs. His teeth were just terribly stained.

Took a couple cleanings and they were fine. He's almost 6 years old. Our dental insurance pays for 4 cleanings a year and we go every 3 months. He loves going.

My son has discolored teeth, I think becuase of the ADEKS vitamin. He has had to have 2 teeth pulled- because of his pediasure he drinks. He has had a spacer and a retainer. He has had alot of teeth issues.
