Taking ds in to ped today for suspected case of uvulitis. I had once and the doctor gave me a steroid., but i dont have cf. i see though that uvulitis can be caused by a bacterial infection. Ds has cultured staph since two weeks old. They treated one time and it stayed and since it hasn't given him any problems the haven't treated since. Has anyone had uvulitis and if so he did they treat?
Thanks!

He hasn't eaten so,ifs for a week. He said it felt like the food was getting stuck and thought there was food stuck on his throat and horse voice and when I looked it looked swalloned. It wasn't it though and doctor said the eating thing is likely from a scratch dear son said he got in his throat from trying to get out stuck ham...doctor said that sometimes takes three weeks to get over.

Working with gi too and did call cf before heading to gp to see what they wanted us to do if uvulitis..but I trust the gp more than all his other doctors and he said that is very typical when kids scratch their throats that it has the sensation for a while..he said saw as long as three weeks...probably doesnt gel that ds doesn't really like food much and has been having gi on top. He's drinking four 360 drinks a day though so keeping his weight stable. And gp spent a ton of time also discussing all the gi stuff and suggesting a couple things and good to have a hands on look so we know it isn't anything like appendisitis or something else serious. ThanksThanks
